Forever client
Downranking
Which rank of a heal gives the most healing per mana and per second at your level and with your bonus healing.
How it is calculated
Base heal: the average of the client's minimum and maximum, plus its growth per level from the spell's level up to its maximum level.
From bonus healing: bonus healing × the client's coefficient of the effect. A heal over time counts its coefficient once per tick.
Classic Era also lowers the coefficient of spells below level 20 by 3.75 % per level (1 − (20 − spell level) × 0.0375).
Per second of casting divides by the cast time, but by no less than the spell's global cooldown from the client. Talents, critical heals and overhealing are not counted.
Spells whose heal sits in a separate triggered spell (Holy Shock, Penance, Prayer of Mending) are not listed.
What differs from Classic Era
In the Classic Era client the coefficients of heals below level 20 already carry the level penalty (Healing Wave rank 1: 0.123). The Forever client lists these spells without it (0.429). Whether the Forever server applies the penalty anyway is not known.
Not verified for Forever
These formulas are those of Classic Era. Blizzard has not published anything about downranking in Forever, and nobody has measured it in the beta yet. Treat the numbers as an estimate until someone confirms them in the game.
