How a camp works

The CookingCookingNo tooltip in this build. Fire becomes a Basic CampfireBasic CampfireNo tooltip in this build.. It creates a campsite where players rest and get one-hour buffs after sitting for a moment. Nearby players can each add one crafted profession object; the objects share a one-hour cooldown. Each profession grants its own buff or utility regardless of which of its objects is placed. You do not need to be in a group with the person who built the camp.

Learning camp objects

The first objects are learned at profession skill 20 from camping NPCs or trainers. Advanced objects come from Blueprint recipes that drop from specific dungeon bosses. Wowhead reports that the quest "The Great Outdoors" early in the levelling path unlocks the system.

Tips

When you see the 'Campfire Nearby' buff, look for a campsite and sit down there. You need no group with the builder, and since build 70009 you may buff, cast and craft while you wait for the camp buffs.
