Tools of the modern client

Forever runs on the modern client. The beta has the Cooldown Manager (off by default; Options → Gameplay Enhancement), edit mode, gamepad support, a Statistics pane, talent inspection and a Recent Allies list. A built-in damage meter and possibly a swing timer were mentioned in the developer Q&A (community transcript).

Build 70009: testable for Druid, Mage, Priest, Warrior and Warlock; more classes later. Spell ranks are not supported yet.

Tips

The spellbook hides lower ranks. Use the arrow at the top right of the spellbook to show all ranks, for example to downrank heals.

To hide your own second name above your character, open Esc → Options → Nameplates and use 'My Secondary Name'. Chat still shows it.

The Cooldown Manager is off by default. Turn it on in Options under Gameplay Enhancement; move it in edit mode. It does not handle spell ranks yet.

If you prefer to see only real gear, choose Classic Mode at first launch or turn transmog off at a transmogrifier. Appearances are still collected in the background.
